settlethekettles: oh snap!

and soooo we secured ourselves the photography and videography package.

it was an easy decision made - not that no researches was done earlier. but we've seen works of other companies/photogs and pretty much, the works are similar. imo, its fair to say, these days, you can't go wrong with most photog companies for their good photog works.

in addition, the company chosen was coincidentally one of the shortlisted companies to review.

in my personal preference, i would like to have my photogr/videogr to be:
1) a Malaysian.
have you seen malaysian photogs' works are? gorrrrrgeous. see Azim Puch / Fad Manaf / Afnan Omar. but how can we even bring in one to Singapore. not only do we need to pay for the services, we would also have to pay for accommodation/transportation/etc. so not worth and tak ada budget pun.

or, 2) a Chinese.
not that i am being racist against my own race, but the quality of a Chinese photog is wayyy better than a Malay one. see Avenue 8 / Bryan Jean Photography / Joan Leong to name a few. not to mention they are expensive to the skies. (i know of a schoolmate who got Bryan Jean Photog, by the way. but that fella is orang atas heights, so okaylah. lets not even meet that.)

and lastly, 3) a Malay.
the malay photog/videog industry boomed like cendawan tumbuh lepas hujan lately, which gave us a not an easy time trying to shortlist a few whom fits our budget. given a malay wedding with many makciks & pakciks, a malay photographer is definitely a safe choice.

as most companies are fairly "there" when it comes to photog shots, we dont really have much conditions for the photog/videog, except that:
1) cater to our event dates
2) within our budget
3) have at least one photog and one videog on each event date
4) lets us know what we will get/have to pay extra for

hence, i am happyyy to say, we've secured ourselves a #2 company as our official photog/videog! yeayyy! the final package was a little extra than what we had budgeted but still acceptable as we had to consider the number of days of our event.

glad that these two areas in the checklist striked off.
