basically kena reject by vendors lah.
somehow, something just cant work out between you and your preferred or any other vendors in the market to take your wedding reception. it could be due to budget not enough, slots are taken up, vendors dont take jobs during a certain period, etc. in the end, at your wits end, you feel like, "siapa lagi seyyy yang boleh buat this (area) for the wedding?" and the feeling of giving up to look for suppliers was peaking?
i feel that way sometimes.
during those times, i wished, how pleasantly ideal would it be if we ptbs have a site/online platform/forum to open slots to those available vendors who think they can take up our wedding reception. so instead of us finding the companies/suppliers, they come find us! and instead of us requesting a quotation, we ptbs tell the companies what our expectations are, how much our budget is, etc. that way, vendors only need to 'apply' if they think they can work around our budget too.
paisey kekadang bila kena beritahu vendors that we have a certain budget to work with and they should kind of deal with that. some vendors do give the "nak service aku tapi bajet tak sampai" look okay. worse is when dah beritahu vendors all details, they came back saying "sorry, we're booked on that date" or "we are unable to cater to your budget...".
dear vendors, wouldnt it be better if i tell you my budget beforehand and if you think you are okay with it, let me know. otherwise, dont even reply because i am less likely to increase my budget for that certain area of the wedding. akin to i RFQ and you submit tender ah gitu.
i am thinking of providing details somewhere along the line such as:
- the receptions' dates
- the receptions' time
- the receptions' venue (optional; usually i leave this part out until ive confirmed booking)
- the number of pax
- the budget
- the requirements
so if a supplier think they can cater to the ptbs' expectation/budget, just email and say something like: "hey we saw you are looking for bouquets/venue/etc; you wanna check out my company because we are available on your dates".
macam hantar tender gitu.
wedding suppliers/vendors are always in demand. but in demand dont always mean being available pe. so if the vendors are in demand but not available, fineee. for suppliers who are in demand and are available but we just do not know if they are, why not use this method kan.
i have not thought of any cons yet, so if you could think of any, do share!
this thought just came to me as a one of the methods to reserve vendors because
(1) some suppliers are not so hardcore in their marketing, hence we just wont know exactly how many companies/people provide certain services/products,
(2) some vendors just need to come out from their shell and we ptbs might just be the stepping stone for them,
in a way, this saves ptbs because sometimes kita semua dah tak tahu mana lagi vendor yang
so amacam idea ni? hahahaaa.
