WOULD.
however, due to certain circumstances, we are sourcing for a bigger and nearer place to hold our receptions. despite having a current venue reservation, we continued to shortlist some venues. while that was going on for abz and i, we received quite a few feedback on some venues we considered. not really encouraging ones, no doubt.
i do not understand how some venues come with labels. by labels i mean that only certain professions should do their receptions at some venues.
"so far i know only engineers do at this place…"
"can afford meh? i thought usually teachers do (their receptions) at that place?"
"wah that place ah? of cos lah she/he can.. she/he is a doctor/manager/consultant/etc whattt."
"alahhh, void deck lah, good enough for a student like you."
"she/he can (do the reception) lah, her/his dad/mum/brother/sister is a club member of that place."
please lorrrrr.
not all engineers save and not all admins splurge.
i thought that as long as the couple can afford the venues' packages, any place is good for their pockets; and it had nothing to do with their professions and standard of living. in addition, perhaps they have their reasons to have their receptions at their chosen location.
so if i were to hold my reception at the void deck of my block, it suits me because I'm not in the management level? for me to do it at a hotel, i or my husband-to-be should be at least an executive? my parents have to be club members for some venues? if I'm holding it at D'Marque or D'Tent means I'm attending a circus?
come onnnn, people.
at this thinking, no one will do their wedding receptions anywhere suitable.
ukur baju di badan sendiri, you say?
well, kalau the pengantin can afford the harga kain, let the ukuran baju be.
i don't think i can ever understand why some professions are not supposed to hold their receptions at certain venues just because more of other professions do theirs at the same location.
it annoys me when i heard these comments because imo, the person who said such remarks is not being nice. and not supportive.
why so judgmental.
