bingsu is a Korean dessert comprising of ice shavings and various ingredients, also known to me as ice kacang Korea.
abz and i went on a dessert hunt at one of the outlets near home, one i found at Guillemard Road, previously known as the Badminton Association.
as it was our virgin trip, we ordered one matcha-azzura bean bingsu and one oreo chewy waffles. total bill: SGD17.00.
the matcha bingsu was heavenly given the humid May weather these days. really. generous mountained share of shaved ice, crispy cornflakes, roasted nuts and red beans. the portion was hugeeee. whats not to love!
the chewy oreo waffles was small - slightly bigger the size of my palm, drizzled with chocolate sauce and many crumbs of oreo bits. its chewiness kind of felt its glutinous riced waffle.
we had oreo bingsu, oreo chewy waffles, milk bingsu and cinnamon-caramel chewy waffles.
and I'm still impressed by the portions and service rendered.
i think we have just found a new loved dessert place.
