furrenthood.

while everyone else were busy with wedding preps, house reno preps, or baby preps, abz and i were busy preparing to be fur-rents.

and we are ecstatic to welcome #Kkukie the kitten into our family of two (as of now)!

its only after about two hours that Kkukie decided to fully step out from the carrier to explore his 'DBSS' (we bought the shelf and fences from Carousell and abz redesigned to suit the kitten). for that period long, he peeped out occasionally, putting only his head out only to eat, yet meowing constantly in the carrier. his fast movements indicated fear, anxiety and cautiousness.

his mews really sounded like a cry for help and it was so heart wrenching.

we had to be patient to get him fully out of the carrier. it got better with the help of the toys. even after that, he was definitely cautious, wary and curious of his new surroundings, still mewing. after all, Kkukie was suddenly taken away from his family of five siblings and three cat-mums. that night, he didn't sleep soundly until abz or me were in his sight or holding him a little.

as he is still new to the house and new fur-rents, he still whimpers softly when he sleeps. thats when one of us will try to be in his sight as much as we can, coaxing him to sleep. so a cutie when he is napping. haha.

and oh, of course we had a customized #zgy for him.

we are planning to send him for vaccination and all after the long weekend. i pray no evil eye is cast upon him. dah macam baby kan? belum lagi anak sendiri. baru anak kucing.

but truly, he was our love at first sight when we saw him two months ago - the one with the white stripe in the middle (of its head). we were lucky indeed that the owner wanted to give the kittens away.

i pray Kkukie will slowly and surely come to love his new surroundings and us as much as we love him.

such a joy to see his kitten antics. hahaha.
