my family and us went for a trip to Doha, Qatar. it was a #familytrip, #birthdaytrip, #makantrip, #secondhoneymoon (hahahh) and (if you had been in our fb) an unofficial #babymoon trips all in one.
this trip was especially thanks to my eldest sister and brother in law, who assisted us in booking our flights via Qatar Airways and provided accommodation at their house throughout our stay. we definitely saved a lot for this trip!
going for this trip was partially a risk we took, given that i had recently recovered from Hyperemesis Gravidarum from Oct-2015 to about Dec-2015, and i was considered still on my road to recovery. abz was definitely not keen on going, but after much muchhh coaxing, thankfully he relented.
this documentation do not have specific day-to-day itinerary; the pictures are in chrono order as much as i could recall, but i did not detail the daily activities because some days were filled with activities, some were lazy days, most days were mainly shopping and everyday is eat-and-eat-and-eat!

abz and i have this habit of flying off quietly with no send-offs. so given our departure flight was about 830pm, we checked in early and shopped in the transit area while waiting for take-off.
excuse the excitement/jakunness, twas our first (and only) time taking Business Class in Qatar Airways! oh how i love the experience! upon boarding, abz and i were given a toiletries bag each and a pair of pajamas.

the toiletries bag for male and female is distinguished by the zipper - male toiletries bag's zipper is a rectangular and female toiletries bag's zipper is rounded. both bags contained pretty much same items - a pair of socks, an eye mask, a lipbalm, a travel pack perfume, an aftershave/body lotion and a comb. all courtesy of Giorgio Armani =)

the pajamas came with a bag and the pair were oh-so-comfyyy! we didnt change during the flight, but abz and i ended up using it during our stay in Doha. hehh.
upon boarding, we were given drinks and a small bowl of nuts while waiting for take-off. each of us have our own pod, television, blankie, air stewardess..... we almost didn't communicate during the flight because we were definitely soaking in the treatment. as i said earlier, pardon the enthusiasm.
our meals on-flight was nothing short of awesome. we were served appetizers, entrees and desserts, and if we were lucky, we could have a second helping. i only took a second helping with the pastries. hehh.
we reached Hamad International Airport some time around 3am Doha time. my parents were there on an earlier flight, so upon reaching my sister's house, we chatted for a bit and then tried to catch some sleep. but i was tooooo excited to turn in! so i kinda waited for the morning view and for my littlebrother to arrive in a later flight.
the 0600am morning view that greeted me was beautiful.

i supposed this is the official Day 1 activity, where we made a short trip to the nearby supermarket to get groceries, and to experience winter during the day. 11 degC with wind!
it was left-hand-side driving in Doha, thankfully abz managed well!
i think this was the only day we had activities, because the following days to come, we mainly ate and shopped.
hence for that day, we took a ride with the ATV and climbed up the Sand Dunes. it was extremely windy for the start of the trip!
oh really fine and damp sand!
we were barefooted during the climb, to prevent sand from getting in our shoes. the strong wind + winter weather + cold sand made us hard to smile in pictures, and harder to actually climb farther! it was chiiiiiiiiiiiiiilllllyyyy!
after the climb, the abled ones slide down the sand dunes happily while i jealously walked myself down back to the cars.
dinner was served warm and cosy at one of the restaurants, afterwhich we had to quickly head back home because winter at nighttime was going down to 9 degC.
